Chapel at Nśpsstašur BL09-04-03

The prayer house dates back to the 17th century. It was restored by the National Museum of Iceland in 1972.
Travellers would stop to pray before crossing Skeišarįsandur, the glacial flood plain with its quicksands
and fast flowing rivers.
