Langabuð at Djúpivogur BL08-06-02
|
Djúpivogur has been a trading centre since the 16th Century. The Langabúð, standing at the side of the harbour,
was built in 1790, part of it serving as a slaughterhouse and part as a store. The building has a fine timber roof
with timber guttering, and now houses a museum and cafe. A good place to relax before setting out to see the
puffins on the island of Papey.
