Perlan, Reykjavík BL11-06-08
|
The Pearl, a revolving restaurant, is built on top of a collection of storage tanks which supply
geothermally heated water to Reykjavík. The tanks themselves are built on top of a hill, Öskjahlið,
a strategic vantage point since early times, and still provides magnificent views over Reykjavík and
its satellite villages.
